At Demo SA, one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical manufacturers in injectable facilities, we are looking for a talented Health, Safety and Environment Officer to join our team. This position is based in Athens.
Health, Safety and Environment Officer
Responsibilities:
- Execute Health and Safety (H&S) strategies according to our business and legal requirements
- Promote a H&S work environment to employees and third-party partners
- Communicate H&S guidelines through training to our employees
- Plan and execute H&S inspections and audits
- Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses and propose action plans for future improvement
- Report data related to H&S, analyze results on a frequent basis and promote corrective actions.
- Ensure that environmental permits are maintained and kept up to date
- Coordinate health and industrial hygiene monitoring
- Ensures the monitoring of performance indicators for both systems (Environment, Health, and Safety
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Chemistry
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role in an industrial company
- Ability to efficiently develop and implement health, safety & environmental procedures
- Excellent use of MS office
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Teamwork mindset
- Analytical and critical thinking, problem solving ability
- Resilience and ability to cope with pressure and strict timelines
- Required traveling to all sites
